About me
I'm Drew Miller.
A curious person trying to pay attention to the world.
A little background
I grew up in a small town where the library was the best place to spend a Saturday afternoon, and that feeling never really left me. I've always been drawn to stories — the ones in books, the ones people tell over dinner, the ones written into the faces of old buildings.
Over the years I've lived in a few different places, picked up a handful of hobbies, and learned that the things I thought I knew often turn out to be more complicated and more interesting than I expected. I think that's a good thing.
These days I spend my time reading, writing, wandering, and trying to be a decent person. I don't have a grand thesis about life — just a genuine curiosity about it.
What matters to me
Curiosity
I'd rather ask a question than pretend I already know the answer. The world is too interesting to stop being surprised by it.
Honesty
Not the blunt kind that uses truth as a weapon, but the kind that makes real conversation possible. I try to say what I mean.
Slowness
Not laziness — intentionality. I believe in doing fewer things more carefully, and in leaving room for the unexpected.
Kindness
The small, unremarkable kind. Holding a door. Remembering someone's name. Showing up when it matters.
What I'm into
Books
Fiction mostly, but I'll read anything that's written with care.
Long walks
The best thinking happens on foot.
Coffee
The ritual as much as the drink.
Music
Anything with a good melody and something to say.
Cooking
Simple food, made with attention.
Being outside
Parks, trails, anywhere the light is good.
Want to say hello?
I'm always happy to hear from people. Drop me a line — no agenda needed.
